Nasal Saline Irrigation

This nasal saline irrigation method has originated and practised in India and other eastern countries since ancient times. It is also known as Jala Neti.

Buy a neti pot that you find comfortable, preferably a steel one. Make a saline solution with the same concentration as that of your tears. Fill the pot with the solution. Over a sink, tilt your head in such a way that you can pour the solution into one of your nostrils easily. The water enters your nasal passage, flushes out all the dirt and rushes out of another nostril. Blow you nose, dry it and then repeat the same with another nostril.

Include this process as a daily ritual just like brushing your teeth. You can do it almost three to four times a day.

It is important that you have understood the process well. If you are unsure about a step, then confirm it from someone who practices it regularly.

The regular practice of nasal saline irrigation will definitely bring down the sinus infection majorly. The simplicity, effectiveness and the cost factor of this method has made it very popular throughout the world. So just bid good bye to all your sinus troubles without the aid of any medicine or a nasal spray from now on.
